Located south of Cleveland Park and adjacent to Cathedral Heights, Massachusetts Heights is a small affluent neighborhood in northwest Washington, DC, accompanied by the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral. This wealthy community has impressive tree lined streets, featuring many luxurious estates and modern-style houses. Massachusetts Heights is home to several embassies including the Cape Verde Embassy, Embassy of Norway and Embassy of the Republic of Iraq. Roughly about half a mile west from Wisconsin Avenue, residents enjoy Glover Archbold Park, McLean Playground and Newark Street Dog Park. Massachusetts heights does not have a metro station however, public transportation is available with numerous Metro Bus stops throughout the neighborhood. Also, Massachusetts Heights is the home of the National Observatory, the grounds of which is home to the Vice President of the United States. Massachusetts Heights offers residents a quiet suburban feel, as well proximity to an urban hub full of activities. Most neighborhood kids attend John Eaton, Horace Mann or Stoddert elementary schools; Deal or Hardy middle schools; Woodrow Wilson High School.
