Located north of Dupont Circle, Kalorama is the most elite residential neighborhood within Washington DC. Located on a hill above Dupont Circle, Kalorama means “beautiful view” in Greek. Kalorama has been home to six Presidents: Barak Obama, Woodrow Wilson, William H. Taft, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Warren Harding, and Herbert Hoover. It also includes several diplomatic residences, as its southern border is the Massachusetts portion of Embassy Row, with its a dense row of international Embassies. Most recently the Obamas, Jeff Bezos and Ivanka Trump all chose homes in Kalorama for their residence.
