Located north of the Palisades and Foxhall, Berkley, sometimes referred to as Foxhall Crescents, is a suburban neighborhood surrounded on three sides by parkland. Naturally isolated from the commercial parts of the city, Berkley offers a sylvan suburban setting, populated with Georgian and Federal style homes. Berkley is home to the Embassy of Germany and George Washington University’s Mt. Vernon campus.  It also hosts the Kreeger Museum, the Field School, and the Lab School, lending it a cultured air.
